Dr. James Patrinely

Our board-certified surgeons are the experts in cosmetic procedures, like lower eyelid surgery with removal of bags under the eye. However, we perform many reconstructive procedures as well. Do you have a droopy eyelid obstructing your vision? Did you have an accident that resulted in an orbital fracture or fracture of the eye socket? Do you have an inflammatory or autoimmune disease causing swelling and inflammation around the eyes? We have the doctors for you!

Plastic Eye Surgery Associates want to help you to find that rejuvenated look around your eyes that you have been searching for. Apart from eye bag removal, we also perform many other surgical and non-surgical procedures focused around the eye area and face. Upper and lower eyelid surgery are very common among cosmetic plastic surgery, so don’t be afraid to schedule a consultation with us today.

Houston TX Eye Bag Removal

All of us experience unwanted aging changes around the eyes and face. Time and gravity cause the skin to become saggy and loose, fatty tissue to droop, and wrinkles, like Crow’s feet, to develop. Those who are smokers or sun-worshippers may experience these changes earlier in life or more severely. Either way, our skin loses elasticity, so we experience bags under the eyes, droopy jowls, and excess eyelid skin.

Lucky for you, our surgeons at Plastic Eye Surgery Associates are the expert plastic surgeons in these delicate areas. Under eye bags are caused by connective tissue in our lower eyelids that have lost elasticity and tone. As a result, the fat in the orbit, that normally cushions our eyes during jump rope and riding rollercoasters, prolapses forward into undesirable bags. Then, the eyes look tired and droopy with these changes.

Eye bag removal is possible at Plastic Eye Surgery Associates for both men and women. We take care of patients in Texas and Florida and restore the youth and tightness to the eye area. Schedule a consultation with us today for a very in-depth evaluation so that we may help you decide how best to improve your aesthetic appeal.

Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery

Upper and lower eyelid surgery can be performed for both cosmetic and functional needs. The most common eyelid surgery is known as a blepharoplasty. During this procedure, we remove excess skin that looks saggy. Additionally, we can remove those pesky under eye bags and even reposition the fat to restore volume loss that causes hollow areas, like the tear trough. Fat prolapse, or eye bags, can occur in both the upper and lower eyelids.

A small incision in the natural eyelid crease is all it takes to perform blepharoplasty on the upper eyelid. Because this incision is so strategically placed, you can’t even see it after surgery following the healing process. The incision is closed with tiny sutures, which are later removed in the office. While you may experience swelling of the eyelids and bruising around the eye immediately after surgery, your eyes will feel lighter and more open once healed.

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty also aims to remove excess skin and fatty eye bags. Sometimes, tightening of the skin or lateral canthus requires a small incision just below the lash line.  However, most of our lower eyelid blepharoplasty procedures only need a small incision on the inside of the eyelid. This results in no visible scar after surgery. How great it would be to look younger, more alert, and well-rested. Come and meet our surgeons today!
