What is an Eye Lift or Eyelid Lift?

There are two different types of eye lifts. Both procedures focus on the eyelid skin and underlying tissues that may be droopy, wrinkly, or puffy. These aging changes around the eye can make you look tired and older than you really are. Many people also have eye bags that form under the eye.  These can negatively affect someone’s appearance as well as cause problems when looking down.

The first of the two different types is known as a lower eyelid lift or blepharoplasty. This type of plastic surgery focuses on removing loose skin and repositioning fatty tissue that causes the under eye bags. Patients look younger and well-rested after this kind of lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
