BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line).
BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is made of a material called hyaluronic acid or HA. HA naturally exists as a component of your skin. By binding to water, it fills in wrinkles and folds, allowing immediate and smooth correction.
HYALURONIC ACID
With age, trauma, and disease, our faces lose structural support and volume, leaving us with hollows and sagging bulges. Whereas the botulinum toxins help relax dynamic lines and wrinkles that first appear with facial movement, the dermal fillers fill in hollow areas and can camouflage some bulges.
Our practice began using the hyaluronic acid dermal fillers (HADFs) in 2003 when they available only in Europe and Canada. Since then, we have performed over 10,000 treatments, making us among the most experienced physician-injectors in this part of the country. In fact, it was our practice’s discovery and publication of the enzyme that rapidly and safely dissolves these materials that helped catapult them to the very top of the list of cosmetic procedures performed every year, right behind the botulinum toxins.
The HADFs are safer than collagens and require no sensitivity testing.
The HADFs remain the only instantly reversible dermal fillers available.
Currently, a wide range of HADFs are available and in our practice we take full advantage of the different properties of all of these fillers to create complex facial sculpting, combining soft pads with a more rigid support, as needed. Our goal is to maintain and enhance each person’s natural appearance while blunting the ravages of time. Every HADF treatment is customized not only for each person but with each treatment to adapt to the changing needs of every face.
